Privacy Policy

CleanStrike is a free, independent companion tool for CS2 Premier. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can ask us to delete it.

What we collect

• Steam identity: your SteamID64, nickname, and avatar, read from Steam's Game State Integration (GSI) while CS2 is running, or supplied directly by you.
• Ban history: VAC and game ban status from the Steam Web API, and FACEIT ban/level status from the FACEIT Data API — used to calculate your trust score.
• Match data: your Premier rating and match outcomes, derived from CS2 demo files fetched via Steam's Game Coordinator using a share code you submit.
• Lobby activity: region selections, ready status, and reports you file or receive, while you use a lobby.
• Network data: round-trip ping to regional relays, measured locally on your device to help pick a matchmaking region. We do not log or store your IP address beyond what's needed to serve the request.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this website or in the app.
• We don't read CS2's process memory or modify game files — see the app's own disclosure for details.

Third parties involved

To provide the service, we call the Steam Web API and FACEIT Data API (ban/level lookups), Steam's Game Coordinator (demo retrieval), and — only if you create an AC-required lobby — the Discord API, which receives just a lobby number to name a voice channel, nothing about you personally. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle the request.

Local storage on your device

The app and website use your browser's/device's local storage to remember preferences — language, theme, font size, and whether you've seen the onboarding screen. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

How long we keep data

Lobby and match-session data is deleted once a lobby ends. Your account record (SteamID, nickname, trust score, match history) is kept while you use CleanStrike, so your reputation carries over between sessions.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your account record and associated history at any time — email ccb.terentiev@gmail.com with your SteamID64 and we'll remove it.

Children

CleanStrike is not directed at anyone who doesn't meet Steam's and CS2's own minimum age requirements.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
